Barclays FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard is a $99-a-year miles card from Barclays. Its best everyday rates are 3x on dining; everything else earns 1x. There is also 5x on Frontier, a single-merchant rate. Rewards are Frontier Miles miles that only spend inside that program, so we value them at roughly a third of a cent each.
On our reference budget of $24,600 a year it earns $106, which clears the $99 fee with $7 to spare before any credits or perks. The welcome bonus, 50,000 miles after $500 in 90 days, is the strongest reason to open it in a given year. The annual fee is waived the first year.
Get it if you already fly or stay with Frontier Miles often enough to use the free checked bag. A general travel card earns points that go more places.
