CreditMaxer is free to use. This page explains how we make money and the rules we hold ourselves to when we do.
How we make money
Some of the financial institutions that appear on CreditMaxer pay us a commission when you visit them through our links or are approved for a product after doing so. Links that can earn us a commission are marked Sponsored where they appear.
What compensation never does
Compensation never affects how lenders or cards are ordered, rated, or included. Comparison tables sort on the numbers you choose to sort by — rates, approval ease, fees — and our recommendation tools rank products by their value to you, based on your own data. Whether an institution pays us is not an input to any of it, and plenty of the institutions we list pay us nothing.
What we show either way
Every rate we display carries the date we last verified it against the lender's own published information, and entries whose verification has gone stale are flagged and demoted in rate sorts — sponsored or not. Estimates are educational, not offers, and lender policies can change at any time.
