The agreement
These terms cover the website at creditmaxer.ai, the CreditMaxer web app, and the CreditMaxer iOS app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy, which explains what we do with your data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who we are
CreditMaxer is operated by GuardianLive (“CreditMaxer,” “we,” “us”). Questions about these terms go to admin@creditmaxer.ai. Other ways to reach us are on the contact page.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and be able to enter a binding contract. The Service is built around U.S. credit scoring and U.S. financial institutions and is not offered elsewhere.
When you create an account, give us accurate information and keep it current. Keep your password to yourself and turn on two-factor authentication; we offer it because credit data is sensitive. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you agree to tell us right away if you think someone else has used it. One account per person, and you may not transfer yours to anyone else.
What CreditMaxer is, and is not
CreditMaxer is an educational tool. It tracks the accounts you connect, explains how the credit system works, and shows you the moves that generally help a credit profile: paying before a statement closes, keeping utilization low, timing a limit-increase request, comparing cards by their math instead of their marketing.
It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Every recommendation is a general explanation applied to your numbers, not a professional opinion about your situation. You decide what to do with it.
We are not a bank, a lender, a broker, a credit bureau, or a credit repair organization. We do not pull your credit report, dispute items on it, or contact creditors for you, and we do not promise any change to any score. Scores you see in CreditMaxer are the ones you entered by hand, labeled with the model and bureau you told us.
We never act for you. Account connections are read-only. CreditMaxer cannot move money, make a payment, apply for a product, or change anything at your bank.
Connected accounts and third parties
You can connect cards and loans through Plaid. When you do, you authorize Plaid to retrieve account data from your institution and pass it to us under the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You enter your bank login with Plaid, never with us, and we never see it.
Your bank’s agreement still governs your accounts. Data from a bank can arrive late, incomplete, or wrong. A due date we show is a reminder, not a replacement for the one on your statement, so check with the institution before you rely on a number that matters.
You can unlink an institution at any time from Settings. Unlinking revokes our access from that point on.
Card Hub, Loan Hub, and sponsored links
The Card Hub and the Loan Hub compare cards and lenders. Some of the institutions listed pay us a commission when you visit them through our links or are approved after doing so. Those links are marked Sponsored, and our Advertiser disclosure spells out the rules we follow. Payment never changes how a product is ranked or whether it appears at all.
Rates, rewards, fees, and approval odds are estimates built from published information as of the date shown next to them. They are not offers. The institution decides whether to approve you and on what terms, and any agreement you sign with it is between you and that institution. Read the product’s own terms before you apply.
The AI assistant
The in-app assistant answers questions using a summary of your CreditMaxer data. It is a language model. It can misread a number or state something wrong with complete confidence. Treat its answers as a starting point and check anything you plan to act on. Do not type passwords, full account numbers, or other people’s information into it.
Acceptable use
While using the Service, you agree not to:
- Break the law, or use the Service to help anyone else break it.
- Connect or enter accounts that are not yours without the owner’s permission.
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export the card catalog, the lender tables, or the credit-union directory except through features we provide for that purpose.
- Reverse engineer the Service, probe its security, or get around any limit or protection we have put in place.
- Interfere with the Service or with other people’s use of it, including by sending automated traffic.
- Resell access to the Service or present it as your own.
If you find a security problem, tell us at admin@creditmaxer.ai before you tell anyone else. We will not pursue a good-faith report.
Content and ownership
We own the Service and everything in it that we made, including the card and lender catalogs, the coaching logic, and the design. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own credit. The names and logos of banks, issuers, and credit unions belong to their owners, and showing them does not mean they endorse us.
What you enter stays yours. You give us the license we need to store and process it to run the Service, as the Privacy policy describes. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
Fees
CreditMaxer is free today. If we add paid features, we will tell you before you are charged, and we will give notice before changing what is free.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your data on the schedule the Privacy policy describes.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law or a security problem requires it. If we shut the Service down, we will give reasonable notice and let you export your data first.
Sections about ownership, disclaimers, liability, and disputes keep applying after the agreement ends.
Disclaimers and liability
We provide the Service as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be error-free or always available, that the data from your institutions will be complete or current, or that following its guidance will produce any particular result with a lender or a credit score.
To the fullest extent the law allows, GuardianLive is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using the Service, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state in which GuardianLive keeps its principal place of business and by applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If you have a problem with us, email admin@creditmaxer.ai first. Most disputes are misunderstandings we can fix in a reply. If we have not resolved it within 30 days, either of us may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located where GuardianLive keeps its principal place of business, and both of us agree to those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change, we will email active accounts and post a notice here at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using the Service after that date means you accept the new terms. The dates at the top of this page always reflect the current version.
