Comenity AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature is a no-annual-fee cash back card from Comenity. Its best everyday rates are 5% on grocery stores, 3% on gas stations, and 3% on wholesale clubs; everything else earns 1%. The 3% rate applies only to AAA booked through the issuer, so treat it as a bonus rather than the reason to apply. Grocery stores is capped at $10,000 a year, then drops to the base rate.
On our reference budget of $24,600 a year it returns about $558, an effective 2.3% back. The welcome bonus, $100 after $1,000 in 90 days, adds to the first year's return.
Put the bonus categories on it and everything else on a flat 2% card. On its own the base rate drags the average down.
