FirstBank Beyond One Visa is a no-annual-fee points card from FirstBank. It earns 1x on purchases, which puts it behind most rewards cards; you hold it for the account itself, not the rewards.
On our reference budget of $24,600 a year it returns about $246, an effective 1% back. The welcome bonus, 2,000 points after $1,000 in 3 months, adds to the first year's return.
There is no reason to hold it for rewards. It is a card for the banking relationship, or a first card. It charges 1% on foreign purchases, so leave it home when you travel abroad.
The offer of 5,000 points is broken down as follows: you will receive 1,500 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after opening the account, 500 points for subscribing online at https://rewardsfirstbank.com/ within the first 30 days after opening the account, and 3,000 points for a balance transfer within the first 3 months after opening your account. This offer is valid only for new accounts.
FirstBank adds nothing beyond the Visa Traditional benefits below.
These come from Visa, not from FirstBank. Every card on the Visa Traditional tier carries them, so they should not decide between two cards.
