FirstBank Beyond Ultimate Mastercard is a $150-a-year points card from FirstBank. It earns 2x on every purchase with no categories to track. Rewards are Beyond points that only spend inside that program, so we value them at about 0.5¢ each.
On our reference budget of $24,600 a year it earns $246, which clears the $150 fee with $96 to spare before any credits or perks. The welcome bonus, 2,000 points after $1,000 in 3 months, adds to the first year's return. The annual fee is waived the first year.
Get it if you already fly or stay with Beyond often enough to use the lounge access. A general travel card earns points that go more places.
The offer of 5,000 points is broken down as follows: you will receive 1,500 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after opening the account, 500 points for subscribing online at https://rewardsfirstbank.com/ within the first 30 days after opening the account, and 3,000 points for a balance transfer within the first 3 months after opening your account. This offer is valid only for new accounts.
FirstBank adds nothing beyond the World Elite Mastercard benefits below.
These come from Mastercard, not from FirstBank. Every card on the World Elite Mastercard tier carries them, so they should not decide between two cards.
