U.S. Bank H-D Visa Secured is a no-annual-fee points card from U.S. Bank. It earns 1x on purchases, which puts it behind most rewards cards; you hold it for the credit reporting, not the rewards. Rewards are H-D points that only spend inside that program, so we value them at roughly a third of a cent each.
On our reference budget of $24,600 a year it returns about $82, an effective 0.3% back.
Get it for the reporting. Pay in full, keep the balance under a third of the limit, and ask about graduating to an unsecured card after a year. The rewards are beside the point. It charges 3% on foreign purchases, so leave it home when you travel abroad.
No welcome bonus is stored for this catalog entry yet.
Travel Emergency Assistance, Auto rental collision damage waiver, and Emergency cash and card replacement.
Benefit descriptions are the issuer’s and network’s own wording, trimmed for length. Limits and exclusions are in the guide to benefits.
