U.S. Bank Shopper Cash Rewards Visa Signature is a $95-a-year cash back card from U.S. Bank. It earns 1.5% on every purchase with no categories to track.
On our reference budget of $24,600 a year it earns $369, which clears the $95 fee with $274 to spare before any credits or perks. The welcome bonus, $300 after $2,000 in 120 days, is the strongest reason to open it in a given year. The annual fee is waived the first year.
A flat 1.5% clears the $95 fee on even a modest budget, so the fee is not the question. Weigh it against the no-fee 2% cards only if your yearly spending is small. It charges 3% on foreign purchases, so leave it home when you travel abroad.
